White Horse Half Marathon
This was my first half marathon - really enjoyed it, thanks!
Thank you marshalls, you were excellent
Food and drink at the finish line would have been nice.
Very enjoyable.
I came a long way to run this event. My club mate Liz Kirwan finished 81st in 2015 in 1:33. Tragically it was her last race, she died of a heart attack two weeks later aged 34. Many Les Croupiers runners have come to White Horse over the years as a personal tribute.
One piece of constructive criticism - the start was not good - no gun or whistle. For a field this size everyone should know when the race starts. Being a traditionalist, I like races with history and a personal mug is a nice touch.
Excellent local half marathon
Lovely scenic and speedy course
Split race start / HQ / car parking was quite a trek!
Beautiful route, well organised and friendly people.
Friendly (local) half
Very much like a Subday club run along the rural lanes. Always a great event, thank you. See you next year.
Loved the route, really friendly feel to the event, parking well organised and accessible.
Well organised, well marshaled, good flat course
Really well run event with a lovely course!
Having a cut off time is perhaps not being as inclusive
Lovely flat race, all marshals were amazing!!
1st half in almost 20 years and really enjoyed it
Brilliantly marshalled all the way - thanks to everyone one of them! 4 water stations turned out helpful as it got warm. Quiet route on country roads and pretty flat, so very beginner friendly (me!!) and good for a reasonable start. Overall excellent from registration to crossing the line to get a bottle of cold water and my mug!! Thanks to all the organisers and helpers for a great morning.
Great flat road race along pretty country roads.
Perfect for beginners doing their first half marathon, or those looking to get a PB. Very well organised, sign posted and lots of friendly marshalls throughout.
Enjoyable event with lots of nice marshals
Flat, fast, and friendly
The guided warm up was excellent; normally this is not provided before a half marathon and it was very much appreciated to prepare the runners as a group. There were marshals on every corner who were so enthusiastic and encouraging. The prizes were generous and thoughtful. My only suggestion for next year is to please award the prizes for each age category at a time, both men and women one after the other. For example Senior Men then Senior Women then V40 Men then V35 Women. Awarding all men's prizes before getting to any of the women's prizes meant that there was a smaller crowd for the women and it felt like we were an afterthought. Apologies for clicking "submit" too early while writing my previous review, hopefully this has come out ok!
Fast, flat, rural roads & lovely marshals
Well-run, friendly.
fantastic event
A good fast half marathon
Not a fun run for very beginners. But well organised, falls at a good time of year. A good one for PBs
