Clearly, I’m very happy that my phone was found and returned. The course is good though the strengthening wind was against us on Sunday. The Race HQ, start and finish location are always the main issue for me. The start wasn’t too bad this year but having completed the run and having to walk in the cold to Race HQ before getting warm clothing was a pain (I’m not sure I would’ve made it if it had been wet)! I think some sort of bag drop at the finish or bags being transported to the finish is needed.

But too few loos at the start. Consider hiring in portable toilets.
The four locations - car park, race HQ, start and finish are too many and too far apart. I suspect few people bothered to go to race HQ (no-one I was running with went there.) Consider making rugby club race HQ and don't bother with primary school. (Obviously there's nothing you can do about location of strat and finish as the distance for a 1/2 M is set.)

Could have done with more toilets at the start.

Very well organised and good communication prior to the event - event guide was very detailed and helpful. Good parking options, but limited toilets at the start had long queue. Course was flat and fast, very well sign posted with lots of cheerful marshalls. Would recommend!

The distances between the main car parking and race HQ were far too far - which then made the distance to the start and back from the finish equally as long. Not enough toilets and water stations definitely needed bottled water and not cups..

Clear comms before the event, event was signed well with many marshalls. Weather was perfect conditions!

The paper cups at water stops were much better than the plastic ones. Start, finish and race HQ location make it difficult to create a 'race day' atmosphere and the toilet facilities near the start were too few.

A great event, fabulous marshals. Plenty of water stations.
Only negative point, rather a trek between car park, HQ, start, finish etc. would have been unpleasant in heavy rain. Great mug to take home.

Certainly not a pb course - quite hilly.

The distance is certainly less than 13.1 miles, which means PB’s are possible.
Couple of points, could do with extra water stations and ideally at least a bottle station. The paper cups make it difficult to travel with if you want sip. Frustrating no headphone policy however some people were able to. Traffic on at this time is minimal and can be a lonely run so I think headphones to considered would be good.

This was my first half marathon. I enjoyed the race. But felt the bag drop off compared to the starting position was too far of a distance.

Could you not have provided a free cup of tea and a biscuit/slice of cake? That was disappointing.

Love the smaller, local races and this one is well organised with a great route.
