Clearly, I’m very happy that my phone was found and returned. The course is good though the strengthening wind was against us on Sunday. The Race HQ, start and finish location are always the main issue for me. The start wasn’t too bad this year but having completed the run and having to walk in the cold to Race HQ before getting warm clothing was a pain (I’m not sure I would’ve made it if it had been wet)! I think some sort of bag drop at the finish or bags being transported to the finish is needed.

But too few loos at the start. Consider hiring in portable toilets.
The four locations - car park, race HQ, start and finish are too many and too far apart. I suspect few people bothered to go to race HQ (no-one I was running with went there.) Consider making rugby club race HQ and don't bother with primary school. (Obviously there's nothing you can do about location of strat and finish as the distance for a 1/2 M is set.)

Could have done with more toilets at the start.

Very well organised and good communication prior to the event - event guide was very detailed and helpful. Good parking options, but limited toilets at the start had long queue. Course was flat and fast, very well sign posted with lots of cheerful marshalls. Would recommend!

The distances between the main car parking and race HQ were far too far - which then made the distance to the start and back from the finish equally as long. Not enough toilets and water stations definitely needed bottled water and not cups..

Clear comms before the event, event was signed well with many marshalls. Weather was perfect conditions!

The paper cups at water stops were much better than the plastic ones. Start, finish and race HQ location make it difficult to create a 'race day' atmosphere and the toilet facilities near the start were too few.

A great event, fabulous marshals. Plenty of water stations.
Only negative point, rather a trek between car park, HQ, start, finish etc. would have been unpleasant in heavy rain. Great mug to take home.

Low key event. Lovely course. Tougher second half, partly due to the wind. And be warned it finishes on an uneven stretch of grass so not ideal for a sprint finish. Not an issue for me I was hanging on

This is a nice course, pretty flat and felt it was well organised. Only comment about the race HQ/start was that there were queues for the toilets. The marshals on the most part were all very encouraging and helpful. I did feel the race wasn't very approachable for beginner runners, the 2:30 cut off time could be quite intimidating for a new runner. Can't comment on the front of the pack, but towards the back runners ended up very spaced out and I did feel quite alone a lot of the latter half of the run where you don't pass through many areas where people are out cheering. For this reason I struggled without headphones, but understand why this isn't an option with the roads not being closed. Didn't have a lot of atmosphere compared to other races I've done. Would also rather a medal over a cup, but it's a nice keepsake.

Enjoyed the race as wasn’t crowded. However the walk from the car park, to bag drop, to the start and then back was ridiculous. Also the goodies at the end were minimal - cup and water - that’s it. Happy to support local causes however and appreciate the organisers putting it on.
