White Horse Half Marathon
Great scenic and flat route
Loved the route through the countryside and it was well-marshalled. As others have stated, the distance between race HQ, car park and start line was a bit inconvenient and we were lucky it was a sunny day!
Perfect
Well organised race through beautiful countryside
Enjoyable
Good course, good marshal's but distance between HQ and Car Park and Start and Finish a long way. I had to pick my number up and ended up walking 3.8 miles all together. Appreciate difficult to move things but should make this clearer in the Race info.
Brilliant event
The cut off time seems a little harsh for slower runners. Think 3 HR cut off better.
4 water stations were ideal but I think could be spread out but better, too much of a gap between 2 and 3. However I was aware of this before I ran which is obviously good.
More stewards at start point. I thought I was at Race HQ and was looking to drop my bag off. In the end went back to car and leave there.
If we could have start point and Race HQ together could we save a few quid by not posting out numbers and collect on day. 85p per entry and price does add up
Loved the mug, nice change from a medal. Enjoyed the route too and fantastic marshals.
Great event. We’ll done and thank you.
Well-organised race with plenty of helpful marshals and pleasant scenic rural route.
Overall a well-organised race but the distances between parking, start, race HQ and finish (despite the knowledge from pre-race info) were quite significant
Well marshalled and signposted.
Knowing about the 2 hours 30 cut off point and the no-headphones rule at time of booking would have been helpful as a first-timer.
Great local event that was very well organised and marshalled
Loads of marshalls on the course, very quiet roads and a nice route. Also very flat so excellent for a PB effort.
Scenic run, great supporters out, fun by all.
This was a very well organised event and lots of fun. I will defo be joining again.
Couple of feedback points that might be useful.
Toilet queues were very long and then not enough toilet paper for them at Rugby Club.
Race number said to put a black cross with a marker pen if medical condition, however no marker for this at HQ, I think this also linked to no photos as photographer seemed to
Get everyone apart from me should have been a big Red Cross through number is no photo.
Volunteers were great, but was difficult to find anyone at the rugby club pre race, think all at the start but not near the club.
Overall amazing and thank you.
Nice course, good for all runners, well marshalled.
Lots of fun and little hassle
Would have been nice to have a medal instead of a cup
A flat and enjoyable course through the Oxfordshire Countryside
The finish line is a mile from the start and the car parks.
Beautiful scenery
The layout was a bit of nightmare. Especially after the race - to race village then back to the car park . We were quite late finishing and signs had been taken down . Not good for sore feet/legs
Nice half marathon!
Great race for a PB and a pretty mug to top it off
Love the 2025 art of the mug - I think it's much prettier than the 2024. Looking forward to the 2026 one, please keep them pretty!
Enjoyable well organised race around local villages
Thanks, i enjoyed the race which was my first time. Organisation was very good. The route and scenery is nice. There seemed to be a spot about 2/3 of the way around which would benefit from a local band playing, or something of interest - the route is quite similar for much of the course. Others might be flying past but I was slow and a quick pick-me-up at that point would have been very nice. Of course the marshals and supporters on the route were all great. many thanks for the organisers and volunteers
A very well-organised, friendly half-marathon.
A really enjoyable run. Fantastic number of marshalls and a very friendly, supportive run-director.
A shame we didn't see the white horse itself.
Save some money as a club, by not having the colourful horse printed on the mugs - not needed!
Would strongly recommend the event; it was exactly what I was looking for.
Lovely Scenice Course
The two negatives for me were
1) how spread out everything is pre and post race.
If you parked at the 'main' parking; it is around 2miles to go to the HQ then to start and a similar distance from the finish to the car park, via HQ
2)The long(er) gap between 3rd & 4th water stations - after having 3 in just 6 miles; it wasnt until after the 10mile marker for the 4th (quickly followed by the 5th) - epsecially on a hot day, this does make a difference
Friendly , well organised event
